Whole Home (Re) Remodel - Purple Mesa Handyman and Remodel

Before

The owner originally hired a different contractor to fully remodel this beautifully located second home. Unfortunately, the first contractor partially completed the job in a very messy and unprofessional manner and then abandoned the job leaving the customer with an absolute disaster. These are just a few photos showing a completely unacceptable trim job, gaps in “finished” work, a dip in the bathroom floor, and a vent and smoke alarm which had been drywalled into the ceiling. Many more issues would be discovered in the process of fixing and finishing the job.

Progress

The “new” trim had to be removed and properly replaced.

Wrapped beams were added in the common areas both upstairs and downstairs.

We built and installed a custom headboard.

Kitchens progress. Light fixtures, countertops, and a tile backsplash added to the upstairs kitchen. The downstairs kitchen was a new addition to the home. Look at those perfectly straight tile lines thanks to a laser level. It’s all coming together!

Finished stairs. New French doors downstairs and sliding door to the deck upstairs. And a beautiful new front door.

Finished and Furnished

That was an unexpectedly long job with many surprises along the way, yet the results were amazing! It is much easier to do things right the first time. But with enough time, patience, and hard work a lot can be fixed. We are happy to see the customer finally have the gorgeous home they envisioned become a reality!
